“It’s 31 other teams, and you pick the yellow team,” Humphrey tweeted with an ellipsis. “Honestly, screw you.”

Here we go again, another offseason; another linebacker leaves the Baltimore Ravens to join the arch-rival Pittsburgh Steelers. Earlier this week, Harrison signed a two-year, $10 million deal to defect from Charm City and join the Steel Curtain.

The same thing happened last off-season when Patrick Queen switched from Baltimore to Pittsburgh. You know what they often say: once is a fluke, twice is a coincidence, and three times is a trend. Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey, who earlier this week took one for the team by restructuring his contract to open up an additional $13 million in cap space, is unhappy about Harrison’s career decision.

“It’s 31 other teams, and you pick the yellow team,” Humphrey posted on his Twitter/X account. “Honestly, screw you.”

If you are familiar with Humphrey’s social media postings and/or listen to his podcast, then you likely realize the “screw you” portion is probably meant to be less hostile than it actually sounds. Humphrey loves to be controversial and incendiary, but typically in a more playful manner.

He’s not happy about this, obviously, as the pair were teammates for five seasons. However, Humphrey isn’t likely trying to start a feud here. Of course, if a back-and-forth develops and a feud erupts, it could give us something to talk about once the slower news cycle portion of the year commences.

Queen’s interaction with his former Ravens teammates was a gift to all of us during the doldrums between mini-camp and training camp.
