A new study in the journal “Addictive Behaviors” suggests that parents who allow their teens to drink at home—even just a taste—may be increasing their risk of heavy drinking and alcohol-related issues later in life. Clinical psychologist Lisa Damour, author of “The Emotional Lives of Teenagers,” joins to discuss the best ways to talk to kids about alcohol.
