Tyson Fury has sent fans into meltdown after the Brit returned to the gym and looked very sharp on the heavy bag – with some believing he looks set to face Anthony Joshua.

Back in January, the two-time heavyweight champion shocked the boxing world after announcing his retirement from the sport. “Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet. I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it. I’m going to end with this. Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side. Get up,” he said in a video uploaded to social media.

The announcement came just a few weeks after suffering his second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. Many had hoped that the Brit would fight Joshua this year following the crushing loss to the Ukrainian. The ‘Gypsy King’ has retired in the past and made a quick comeback – which has left fans questioning the legitimacy of this latest decision.

Ever since he called it a day, the 36-year-old has been enjoying some quality time with his loved ones, but has also been seen keeping active. The former world champion posted training footage earlier today in his own gym for the first time since his retirement.

Fury was seen working the heavy bag and looking sharp with some powerful and quick shots. Soon after the video was uploaded, many fans were quick to take to the comment section, insisting he is set to make yet another return to the squared-circle. One user wrote: “He’s definitely making a comeback.”

Another posted: “Here we go the comeback is on. AJ watch out!” A third wrote: “Boxing’s not the same without you Tyson. You’re the Muhammad Ali of our generation, please fight again.” One asked: “Is champ coming back??”Another user wrote: “Come back big man.”

Recently, Fury’s manager Spencer Brown revealed that the Brit is still retired, but is struggling with boredom. He told iFL TV: “I spoke to him last week, he’s really happy. Really happy. He’s getting a little bit bored but he was really happy. I think he went to a nice birthday party over the weekend and had a few beers. Just speaking to him gives you a bit of light in your life because he makes you smile and he doesn’t anything too seriously.

“Is he going to fight again? He’s retired. He might be getting a little bit bored at the moment but that’s just a natural thing. He’s just enjoying himself, he’s running everyday. He’s really looking good. He’s tanned, he’s fit. He looks good. I was quite surprised when I saw him. He’s usually eating Jelly Babies and sweets but this time none of that. He’s proper on his diet.”
